Empowering older and disabled people

Empowering older and disabled people

For older adults and disabled people who are less likely to travel and attend family events or unable to work, the real world can become very small and stifling.

Virtual and augmented reality give older adults and disabled people a window to the parts of the world that they’re missing. In addition to providing them with new ways of experiencing things, new technologies provide opportunities to prevent cognitive decline by keeping them active. There are lots of interesting experiences and activities (e.g., historical tours, architectural exhibits, underwater world, brain exercise, exergaming) we could provide for older and disabled people.
